To our amazing customers, we wanted to provide you with an update of our operations going forward. Until we're told otherwise, we will continue to operate, albeit with some changes.

We have suspended April upfront orders and will require customers to purchase each individual week of meals. This is simply because we just don't know what is going to happen over the next month and want to be in the best place to update and change as the situation changes.

We will also spend our time and resources creating core meals for customers consisting of only lunches and dinners. Breakfast, snacks and juices will be suspended for the coming month. 

All current upfront orders will be honoured - if you have pre-ordered a breakfast or full menu option you will be contacted in the coming days and be offered either a partial refund or credit - you will still receive your lunch and dinner meals.

Contactless home deliveries will continue as normal. In kitchen pick up will also be available, however, customers will be required to call us to let us know when they've arrived so we can bring your order out to the car.

We thank you all for your continued support – in this world of unknowns and uncertainty your support means seven local Bendigo people are still employed and receiving a steady wage. This means the world to us and our families. It also means we have the ability to pay it forward and continue to support our community in turn.

CUSTOMER UPDATE: Tuesday March 17

In light of the World Health Organisation declaring Coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic we felt it pertinent to communicate with you all some important information regarding the preparation and service of meals into homes within our community.

Fresh 5 has always maintained the highest levels of food and hygiene practices within our business, far beyond that of industry standard and we take this very seriously. The food safety program works to ensure all members of our team adopts quality food safety standards across everything that is prepared in our kitchen, every single day.

Change to home delivery

A decision has been taken to change our delivery protocol, which will come into effect immediately. All deliveries will be left at customer’s front doors, followed by an SMS to notify customers of their successful delivery.

We trust our customers will understand this change to our policy. We also request your understanding if delivery times extend beyond those of our standard timeframes, as we see an increased demand for the delivery service and indeed a significantly increased demand for meals.

Change to in-kitchen pick up 

First and foremost, we request that any customer who has opted for in-kitchen pick up, to please notify us by phone, email or SMS if they are feeling unwell or have been placed on self-isolation. We request that you please do not attend the kitchen if this is the case, and we will arrange for delivery of your meals to your home, abiding by the above-mentioned delivery protocol.

Our kitchen will continue to be staffed during customer pick up times, however customers will be required to locate their order on the pick-up shelves and retrieve their boxes themselves.
